Empowering Grassroot Innovation | Grassroot Outreach

On February 15, 2025, ACIC KL Startups Foundation, in collaboration with CIIE, organized an outreach program at Yamarru village. This initiative aimed to connect student innovators with grassroots entrepreneurs, providing them with valuable insights into real-world challenges and innovative solutions.

Students from KL University’s Design Thinking and Innovation (DTI) program had the wonderful opportunity to interact with Mrs. Anitha Garu, Founder, and Mr. Srinivas Rao Garu, Co-Founder of Tarani Adya Agro Private Limited. They generously shared their expertise and experiences, particularly regarding their innovative portable rice mill, inspiring students with their entrepreneurial journey and resilience in overcoming challenges.

We sincerely appreciate the efforts of Mr. Kurapati Nageswara Rao, Technical & Outreach Associate at ACIC KL Startups Foundation, for facilitating this meaningful interaction. His guidance helped students gain firsthand exposure to grassroots innovation and real-time problem-solving.

Additionally, students had an enriching discussion with Mr. Venkateswara Rao Garu, Founder of Bhazor Industries, who introduced them to his pioneering work in rooftop organic farming—a sustainable method of cultivating crops without pesticides.

Engagements like these play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of innovators, encouraging them to develop impactful solutions that contribute to society.
